The Reservation Issue
Guys do check the interview of arjun singh with karan thapar
The way this guy have put forward the datas shows that we really dont need reservation
Well for busy personalities( like me:-) ) i will just try to zip up all main points he came forward in his interview.
1)Mandal puts obc population at 52 per cent, the National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) at 32 per cent, the National Family and Health Survey at 29.8 per cent, which is the correct figure even goverment dont know
2) According to the NSSO - which is a government appointed body - 23.5 per cent of the college seats are already with the OBCs.
3)A study done by the IITs themselves shows that 50 per cent of the IIT seats for the SCs and STs remain vacant, and for the remaining 50 per cent, 25 per cent are the candidates who even after six years fail to get their degrees.
4) According to report of Parliamentary Committee onDelhi University, between 1995 and 2000, just half the seats for under-graduates at the Scheduled Castes level and just one-third of the seats for under-graduates at the Scheduled Tribes level were filled rest went empty
5)Jawaharlal nehru was also against quotas.
And Arjun singh in his most replies said that its not my decision its parliament decision . I would like to ask him if u cant stand by ur decision why u make a decision.
Secondly Pmo office was not awared of the fact and his plans for quotas .
this proves he tried to ditch prime minister to throw him out of the throne
Thirdly,he didnt even went to general students to meet them
This shows he is very detirmined for reservation no matter how many general student give up there life (by the way i m continously getting message as offlines and sms that one of aiims student passed away is this true??) if yes then its a great loss
Well if you ask me personally i favour reservation but not in education there are other ways for upbringing lower class citizens im suggesting few point i think might be helful for upbringing the lower class .Well u guys can comment if u like .Also u can let me infrom if u disagree to anypoint made by me.
1)Say no to reservation in education education is equal right of all instead give them free coachings, free books, counselling session and scholarship to guys who make through it.Seriously there is no need for spoon feeding
2)Before thinking of giving them reservation in studies goverment should first think of there basic requirmenti.e. roti, kapda, makaan withouth which they cant survive
So fix certian amout of foodgrains that should every year go to them beacuse there are hundreds of farmers and there family dying every day just becuase lack of food .This will be a win-win situation for both govt will save the loss they have to bear every year beacuse tons of wheat goes without use in govt godowns
3)Give them work so that they can earn there living .Now here i doesnt mean snatch jobs from others i mean increase the job opportunities for them give them job according to there fit-inns
4)Run awareness classes through out the country from cityto city and home to home so that these low class person can also be aware of where they are and which way india is going
Well,I know its tough to implement but by this way they can assure u that no one's is in loss and everyone is gaining
